I have been thinking about some of my reading from this morning. The time was meditation to help me set my focus for the day. I am working on feeling uncomfortable while listening, seeking understanding, and learning to be with it all.
Learning to Be With It All
Here are a couple of quotes that spoke to me from my various resources this morning:
Learn to be with it all.
– Mary Ellen Lough from the Friends of Silence Newsletter, June 2020
You might as well answer the door, my child, the truth is furiously knocking.
– Lucille Clifton from Good Woman
So What
The truth is knocking furiously at the door of my heart. I am learning to open the door and listen. I am learning to be with it all, especially that which is uncomfortable and generates vulnerability – that causes me to think at an even more profound level and to take action toward significant compassion and love.
Keep saying “yes” to the process.
– Mary K. Moore
Your Turn
What are you reading? What is helping you learn to be with it all? In what ways are you answering the furious knock of truth at your door?
