When it comes to productivity, clarity is like the slogan for holiday advertising, “the gift that keeps on giving.” Josh Spector calls it “the ultimate growth hack.” Clarity can be the superpower for a breakthrough if you keep two things in mind: intention and perspective. Think of clarity as a driving force toward insight and action. It all begins with a mindset.
Breakthrough with Intention
What do you want in life? What are you seeking? Be relentless in your intention, your purpose.
See clarity as a verb, seeking an understanding of what makes sense, what to do, and where to go with the next step in life.
Be clear on the desire of your mission, your vision, of relationships, of work, simple tasks, and living the holy ordinary of life.
Know yourself, how you operate, and what causes a stall in your work or relationships.
To get clear, be still. Quiet the noise in your head. Simplify your surroundings and your mind.
Seeking understanding includes seeking clarity.
What you seek is seeking you.
Rumi
Breakthrough with Perspective
Clarity shows me how to find out what I need to know.
Ruth Gendler
Clarity helps you focus on what matters most to you.
Boundaries are an excellent tool to help keep perspective in life.
To what do you say, yes? What is your no?
Be sharp on the details of the boundaries, the limits of what you seek.
Clarity shows you what you need to know and do while keeping perspective on the big picture.
Learn from the clear vision of the hawk. As the hawk flies overhead, it takes notice of the natural flow of rhythm on the ground beneath it. The hawk is alerted to its prey when it notes a disturbance in the natural flow…something moving AGAINST the established pattern. It’s an ability to see details within the bigger picture that provides clarity.

A Word on Questions and Patience
When I am stuck, my initial questions are, What is not clear? Where do I need clarity? To whom do I need to reach out to gain a better understanding of a project, a problem, or a task?
Asking questions is my go-to tool in seeking clarity. There also needs to balance of asking questions and patience in receiving the insights. We cannot rush clarity or force it to happen. The art is seeking clarity and allowing the wisdom to come to you, like fog lifting in the morning and finally seeing the certainty of the landscape before you.
When you are frustrated and do not have clarity in your life, be patient in the process of asking questions. Take your time to think through the feedback, the options, the solutions. Clarity will show up in due time. In the meantime, keep asking questions.
