Seeking the Questions…
I believe in the power of questions as a tool for soul-searching, personal growth, meaning, or deep insights of self-discovery. Questions accelerate the curious mind and fuel the soul to seek action toward growth. One of my favorite quotes is from Thomas Merton (1915-1968), a Trappist Monk in Kentucky and also one of my favorite spiritual writers. Merton asks, “What do I want for my life? Why am I not there?” These are the questions of seeking; the pondering of the heart.
Here is a list of some of the questions that drive my journey of personal growth:
Where is your journey taking you?
What are you reading?
To what are you listening?
For what do you long?
What captures your soul?
For what do you desire?
What stirs your heart?
What makes you laugh?
How do you be still?
Who empowers you to live your best?
What causes you to wonder?
How do you forgive?
What inspires you?
What do you do with worry?
How do you love?
What keeps you awake at night?
What do you need to receive in your life?
Of what do you need to let go?
What are your struggles?
What are your dreams?
How do you live in hope?
To what do you pay attention?
What helps you live life wholeheartedly?
For what are you grateful?
