When it comes to responses to impatience, what is your choice?
For this blog post, I put together a short video to explain two responses to impatience. It is a little over a minute in length. The transcript follows.
Have you ever felt impatient with yourself or frustrated by a difficult experience?
Are you restless in not getting the result right away?
Responses to Impatience
Here are two perspectives to deal with those frustrating moments in life – be it big or small stuff.
- The frustrating/impatient moment is an end-to-end process, no matter how long or short the experience. This moment has a beginning and will have an end.
- You have a choice in how you will respond. Be mad at yourself? Or accept yourself in the moment and learn from the experience?
Your Choice is Patience
Two responses to impatience. Your choice. It’s all about patience.
The best definition of patience I learned from Gary Vaynerchuk, who says that “patience is being OK with the process.”
Frustration Happens
Frustrating moments happen. They are only moments.
Be OK with yourself in the lifetime process of personal growth.
