The Footprint of Determination
You decided to try something new, to do something different, to work on something you have never done before. Your emotions are all over the place. You feel excited, scared, lonely, supported, nervous, anxious, and are beginning to wonder if you can do this, whatever “this” is.
What I want to say to you is, “Yes, you can.” You can do this. You can do what you have set your mindset and direction to do. The step forward is the footprint of determination, movement in the direction of “yes.”
Yes, you can. Yes, you will. No matter the outcome, you have made an internal decision to act. Stand at the threshold of that action. Embrace all those feelings of excitement, fear, doubt, and wonderment, the whole ball of emotions swirling inside your head and heart.
The Motivation
To be fearful or nervous at the edge is a good thing, for these emotions remind you of why you are doing this, even though you may not fully realize it now. These emotions motivate you to be serious concerning what you are going to do, encouraging you to focus and go all out.
Do not worry about the outcome. Failure or success, you have decided to act, and that will bring new learnings and new insights for you. You succeed by doing, by taking action.
So stand at the edge. Take a deep breath. Breathe in your decision. Then take that step, that minute shuffle or enormous leap into your action toward the new thing before you. You made the decision. Here you are. You can do this. Yes, you can. Yes, you will.
