Go outside where Wi-Fi doesn’t matter, and everything else does.
Go outside where Wi-Fi doesn’t matter. This is the internal mantra to myself these days. I am aware how much time my life is connected to wireless networking throughout the day, and I don’t like it right now. This attentiveness causes me to ponder how I am paying attention to other means of communication in my life. Don’t get me wrong. Wi-Fi is a great tool for networking, but it is not the only agent.
Hiking outdoors helps put into perspective what matters in life – the human connection, the palpable engagement of all the senses – to see, hear, touch, taste, feel – to experience fully.
The outdoors are calling us to a deeper connection.
Disconnect from the technology for a while.
