The income of time – how will you live this day?
24 hours. 1,440 minutes. 86,400 seconds. All three are equal in quantity. All of us get the exact amount of time, no more, no less. There is no 1% of wealth when it comes to time allotment each day.
The Income of Time
Time is the new currency. Think of time as having a million dollars you have to spend in one day. Even if you don’t, it will disappear out of your account by the end of the day. There is no banking of hours for a later deposit, no saving of time to pay later.
The currency of 24 hours always spends. And when it is gone, it is gone, never to return. We cannot get that time back. We can only move forward with the hope we will receive the next round of time the following day.
The reality is that no one has a savings account of time. You can’t save it or deposit it in the future to use at a later moment in life. Time happens with or without our consent. Time moves whether we are paying attention or not. How will we spend our time in this moment of life?
How Will You Live Today?
While each of us is on a level playing field with time, how we live our time will be different. What does your time expenditure look like in your day? What does this moment mean for you, and how do you want to live it? How will you spend your income of time?
How will you share your talent, expend your energy, make a difference in the world, do something with lasting impact? The only choice you have is how you will respond and live this day with the time you have. How will you live?
Your Choice
Remember you will never get this time back in your life. This moment will never happen again. You can make a difference this day. Your choice is how to live this present moment.
We all receive the same income of time. What are you going to do to make these 1,440 minutes meaningful?
I welcome your comments.
