What is your finish line? What are your milestones on the journey? I am not talking about the final finish line of life. I am thinking more of the immediate finish lines closer to the present moment.
Think about your goals, your dreams, your expectations. What do you want to accomplish? While there is still time, what do you want to do in life? How do you want to be? Who do you want to become?
Finish line is a line marking the end of a race. We run more than one race and cross more than one finish line in life. Think of them as gateways of completion. Savor the milestones, the thresholds, the achievements. Finish lines are temporary. They are stepping stones in the forward movement toward personal growth, with the intent of becoming better today than you were yesterday.
No matter how you finish, the line provides information about who you are and who you want to become. What do finish lines teach you about yourself? How do they help you set and re-set your expectations? Finish lines are not the end, only markers guiding you to the next personal challenge.
Celebrate the milestones. Learn from the lessons. Plan your next finish line.
